Meet Us.

It all began in January 2018 when we moved from London in search of the countryside idyll and to start a family. We spent nearly 3 years designing, planning, tearing down, and re-building stable rooms. We wanted to honour the history of the building and so kept to the same footprint and incorporated much of the original features such as the beams and stable doors. What has emerged, is a purpose-built pottery studio, a baking pantry and two en-suite bedrooms - all overlooking a yard which was once full of animals and now serves as a place to park, eat, drink and settle down around a fire pit.

Things We Do.

Emily Bakes.

Emily learnt the art of breadmaking from the best having trained at the E5 bakehouse in London, the Ashdown Manna Cookery School and from shadowing the great Jean-Marc Albisetti of Troubadour Bread. Bread is not just something to eat, it is a way of life for Emily. She has cultivated the same sourdough starter since 2018 and spends time every day experimenting with recipes. During the week, Emily is a Management Consultant in London.
